Before/after/after/after First of all, I went to consultations at 8 hospitals, and even after that, I was so worried and detail-oriented that I looked up every single review through apps.
I didn’t like the other places for various reasons Just when I was about to give up and live like this, I met Director Jung Woo-jin, and on the day of the consultation I put down a reservation deposit and had surgery right away two days later~!
From now on, I’ll start my real rhinoplasty review. (I’m leaving this because I think there are people considering rhinoplasty who are curious about what it was like on the day of surgery and after surgery, and because they might be scared like I was!)
Surgery was at 1 o’clock on the day of surgery! After arriving, I changed clothes, took photos, cleansed, didn’t apply anything, and removed my lenses.
Before going into surgery, I had a final consultation with the director about the shape I wanted, then went into surgery. (Up until this point, I wasn’t scared about the surgery at all lol...)
As soon as I lay down on the operating table, fear suddenly rushed over me from that moment. Starting with, why did I say I’d do this... and suddenly I felt so upset. I teared up a little because I was scared, and the nurse said, “If you cry, you’ll swell. Don’t cry,” lolololololol They put a blanket over my legs in case I was cold, and as soon as they said, “You’re going to fall asleep now,” I had no memory, and when I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room.
On the day, I don’t know about pain, but I just felt like I was going to die because I couldn’t breathe, especially when sleeping I kept waking up and sleeping and probably slept 1 hour? My throat was extremely dry. Buy a small empty mist bottle, fill it with bottled water, and spray it into your throat often; it helps a bit. I also ran two humidifiers
A good thing about Item is that they remove the cotton the very next day. It differs by hospital, but I heard some places keep it for 4 days or a week. Maybe because the director’s skills are good, the bleeding didn’t flow out; it was just enough to come off when wiped!
As soon as I woke up, I went to get the cotton removed. Removing the cotton felt refreshing, and disinfecting inside the nose stung a little.. It was bearable. Even after removing the cotton, my nose kept being blocked, so for 3-4 days breathing and sleeping were so uncomfortable
I’m naturally the type who swells and bruises easily, so the bruising and swelling around both eyes and cheekbones were intense... I drank 2 pumpkin juices every day, frequently drank warm red bean pumpkin tea, kept doing warm/cold compresses whenever I remembered, and consistently went for walks morning and evening for over a week.
At one week, I had the splint removed and stitches removed! When the splint was on, it was so itchy inside and I couldn’t wash my face, so I almost died, but after removing the splint and removing the stitches (it didn’t hurt), they also did exfoliation care for me.
Actually, after removing the splint, I thought, is this shape right...? I don’t really like it? The mucous membrane was also very swollen, and the nostrils were very uneven, so I started to worry,,
After the splint was removed, the swelling went down really quickly!!!
I told the director that I didn’t want a natural look and absolutely wanted it glamorous, and since the nasal tip drops later, to take that into account and make it as high as possible.
Right now I really, really like my nose shape, and I regret that for years I couldn’t find a hospital I liked and couldn’t meet Director Jung Woo-jin sooner, so I couldn’t do it earlier. When I look at my nose, all the hardship disappears. I like it so much. It’s still approaching week 3, so there’s a long way to go before all the swelling is gone, but when I went for a follow-up the day before yesterday, they said the swelling is going down quickly and well, and the shape came out really nicely, so I’m praying it settles even prettier haha
For those considering rhinoplasty, at least get a consultation with Director Jung. He consults very thoroughly and actively reflects the shape you want~ Even after surgery, his energy stays consistent and he is still kind. People around me say my nose is so pretty and ask which hospital it was, so I’m going around spreading the word.
