Protruding mouth orthodontic treatment review (close-up lip photos, caution..)

I wondered if surgery was the only answer, so I thought I would have to do it someday, but after a friend came back from orthodontic treatment, I suddenly thought I should at least get a consultation. I got a consultation, and even though it was my gums protruding, they said orthodontic treatment could fix it, so I said I would do it. They said it is better for the dental clinic to be close... so I did it near my home. The cost differed depending on the attached appliance, and I got Clippy-C? attached. I think it was roughly 4.85 million won for two years. Probably under 5 million. They said after two years, I would only need to pay about the monthly treatment fee. I was told I would probably need more than two and a half years, so I said okay, and I am currently undergoing treatment (almost two years now, probably 22 months). And I had a total of 8 extractions: 4 wisdom teeth, premolars, and... anyway 4 more. My premolars were baby teeth, so they said it would be better to pull them, and somehow I ended up pulling 8 teeth. The extraction fees were separate. I remember the wisdom teeth cost a bit... The wisdom teeth had to be removed at another dental clinic. For me, all the extractions were in the early stage of orthodontic treatment. The beginning was a bit hard. The wisdom teeth were impacted, so with hemostatic agents and various things, I think removing all four was within 180,000-200,000 won. For ordinary healthy teeth, the orthodontic clinic pulls them. That also costs separately, but I remember it was not much.. Still, I think it was under 100,000 won to pull four. Probably. My upper teeth protruded and covered the lower teeth, so I had a deep bite. My upper teeth and gums protruded overall. Anyway, after attaching the appliances at first, they stick out more than my original teeth... When smiling too, it felt like the appliances were getting in the way. At first, after attaching the appliances, it is uncomfortable and painful... things like that happen, but later, because I kept getting teeth pulled, I got used to it, and I just got used to the empty spaces too.. I got used to food getting stuck, got used to everything... I got used to wearing elastics too, and when they changed the wire, I just thought it would hurt for a day and lived like that. The appliances made my mouth protrude more too, but at that time COVID was in full swing, so I almost always wore a mask, and as time passed, my mouth had gone in. Since it was Clippy-C, the brackets were clear too, and I went around smiling a lot thinking maybe braces suited me pretty well. It was not as bothersome as I expected, like having metal rails. First of all, closing my mouth became very comfortable, and I used to always sleep with my mouth open, but that improved too. Before, keeping my mouth closed felt uncomfortable, so it felt like my mouth was always slightly open. I lost a bit of facial fat, and before, because my teeth stuck out a little, I looked younger.. I often heard that I looked like a rabbit or squirrel, but now I don't hear that anymore. My front view was okay, but I hated my side view a lot, so I remember absolutely never taking side-view photos then and trying hard not to show my side profile in front of people I was interested in.. Now I can show my side profile very confidently.. My lips got a bit thinner, and my smile feels a bit more natural. Anyway, I am happy that I was able to change the thing that stressed me out the most about my face, and I recommend it.. People around me also want orthodontic treatment after seeing me. The spaces have not all closed yet, and it seems it will take longer because they are uprightening my molars, but my mouth has gone in enough, so I am satisfied.
