2 weeks after rhinoplasty (+ crooked nasal bridge)

Before<before surgery>Before<before surgery>After<after surgery>After<after surgery>After<after surgery>It’s been 2 weeks since I had silicone inserted in the nasal bridge + autologous cartilage for the nasal tip. I went to the clinic yesterday for a follow-up. Up until week 1, when I looked at my face, all I could see was my nose, like it obviously looked as if anyone could tell I’d had rhinoplasty..? But now the swelling has gone down a lot overall, it’s become smaller, and I think it looks much more natural!! My nostrils were originally slightly like an “11” shape and my nasal alae were tight and swollen, but now it feels similar to before surgery? Though the nasal tip still seems a bit swollen..? The sensation in my nose also seems to have come back quite a bit compared to a week ago! The tip still feels a little awkward when I touch it, but the nasal bridge and alae have completely come back! It doesn’t hurt when I touch it now either. But I guess there’s no helping the nasal congestion and boogers.. I want to blow my nose freely and pick my nose.. Oh, and I was worried the redness at my nasal tip might be inflammation, but they said it’s normal!! They said it gets red because the skin on the nasal tip is being pulled tight! The surgical scar has also faded a lot!! I don’t think you’d notice unless you look closely If anything, I’m more worried because the scar near my ear isn’t healing quickly I’m still satisfied with the nose shape I like that it’s natural, but now I’m actually regretting that I should’ve raised it a bit more..   ++((Correction of the crooked nasal bridge)) For the first few days after removing the splint, I thought it was swelling or just my imagination, but as time passed, the nasal bridge started to look a little crooked..? (It didn’t show in photos, and people around me said they couldn’t tell, but when I actually touched it or looked closely, I could definitely feel that the two sides were different.)  As it got close to 2 weeks, most of the swelling had gone down, but it still wasn’t getting better So when I went in for my 2-week visit, the director said he would examine my nose closely, and yesterday I went and in the end, he corrected it!! The director looked at it and said the silicone position had indeed shifted a bit to one side.. So I was really worried, but he immediately moved? the silicone back to its original position by hand right there It didn’t hurt, but the crunching sound gave me chills.. From what I heard, since this is still the period when the silicone is settling, just like bone takes a few weeks to attach, the silicone can still move at this stage..! They had originally said it takes about 3 weeks for silicone to settle, but since the position was adjusted again now, they explained in detail that it would take about 2 more weeks to settle! I was really worried, so I’m very relieved that it could be corrected early.. The director explained everything very thoroughly, so my worries went away too! Everyone, if after rhinoplasty you feel like your nose is a bit asymmetric, tell your attending director quickly and get it corrected early!!!
