Before/after Right after surgery, my rib area hurt a lot and my nose was packed full of cotton, so it was uncomfortable. I applied the ointment well, and three days later the cotton was removed; at that point it became bearable. Today, one week later, the stitches and splint were removed. They said I was a little more swollen than other people, and to my eyes it still looks very swollen and awkward, but if I keep applying the ointment well and wait, I think it will become the shape I wanted! The nurse who treated me also answered kindly, which was nice.
