Reason for surgery Malocclusion, large face, long midface, gums showing when smiling
Since I was young, I had malocclusion where my upper and lower teeth did not fit together properly, and the dentist I went to told me I was a double jaw surgery case. Because I thought double jaw surgery was dangerous and a major surgery, I had thought I would absolutely never do it, but as I grew up, my complex about my face shape became severe, and because of things like cutting noodles with my tongue when chewing + deliberately pushing my jaw in to make the malocclusion fit, I went to consultations at three hospitals for double jaw surgery + facial contouring.
I had saved only reviews where the surgery results matched the face shape I wanted, and when I checked the hospitals, I’m not even lying, all the reviews I had saved were from people who had surgery at Y. I thought the style I wanted must match exactly with this place, so I booked a consultation right away and even had the surgery there.
Now at 2 months, I’m eating foods without difficulty except for hard and tough foods. I can chew things like meat too, but I’m still somehow scared to chew vigorously, so I cut it with scissors into pieces that are only small enough to chew a bit more comfortably.
And as for sensation, it has almost all returned except around the mouth, such as the palate, corners of the mouth, and chin area. I think about 70-80% has come back.
