I’m looking into revision eye surgery, and I suddenly thought it would be good to get it done during Lunar New Year. It’s been 14 years since I last looked into this. Around this Thursday, I went to two places where same-day appointments were available. One place, the first consultation I had, seemed pretty good, and they had one slot left before the Lunar New Year holiday, so I put down a deposit for now. They said they’d give me until the 29th to cancel, and I hurriedly booked consultations at two more places on the 29th.
Since I just started looking into it, I’m searching for hospitals and first booking places where I can get consultations quickly, at least. (Places that seem reasonably okay for revision surgery..? The really popular places are hard to get appointments at..) If I don’t do it during the Lunar New Year holiday, I feel like it’ll be delayed, and I do need to look into it more. Since it’s revision surgery, I know I should be careful, but it’s hard to know what else to look into and how to research it.. Even if I read posts from people here and there, I think it’ll still be hard to decide. Should I just go with a place that can do the surgery during the Lunar New Year holiday, or should I look into it more and postpone it? What should I do?..
