Before-before-after-after-after I worked up the courage and had all 3 types of facial contouring surgery, so I want to answer anything people might be curious about from the perspective of someone who had the surgery haha I also got a lot of help from this community, cafes, and apps, so I’m writing this to help as much as I can based on what I know
On the day of surgery, I was out of it and really nervous The surgery wasn’t as painful as I expected. I was just lying in the recovery room completely spaced out Maybe because of the anesthesia, I had no sensation on the first day. There wasn’t much pain, just discomfort
For me, the swelling was the worst on days 3-4, and after the first week passed, the major swelling started going down quickly After that, I mainly ate foods that didn’t require me to open my mouth too wide When I ate hard foods, I felt slight pain in my jaw, so I recommend soft foods Other than that, there wasn’t any major pain, and I just took walks around my neighborhood
The dulled sensation all came back around the 2-month mark, but it differs by person, so it’s hard to say exactly when sensation will return. For me, it came back around 2 months From then on, I had no soreness or pain at all
Right now, I still have a bit of minor residual swelling, but it’s gradually going down and settling into place The line is definitely starting to show, and I hear a lot that my face has gotten smaller Every time I look in the mirror, it feels amazing, and there’s this happiness that’s hard to put into words People who’ve had facial contouring surgery will know what I mean lol Anyway, aside from what I wrote, if you have anything you’re curious about, leave a comment and I’ll share as much info as I can~
