Before<Before double eyelid surgery>After<After>After<After>Hello everyone! Semi-out lines seem to be so trendy these days, so I wanted to write a review to show that there are also people like me who get a natural in-out line(?) lol
Before double eyelid surgery, my eyes were uneven!! One side was completely monolid, and the other side had a faint inline double eyelid lol When I asked friends about my first impression, I kept hearing that I looked scary or blunt, but after double eyelid surgery, I’ve been hearing a lot that my eyes look softer!!
When I was looking for a clinic for double eyelid surgery, I think I read a lot of reviews. Honestly, there are so many plastic surgery clinics in Korea, even just in Gangnam lol. If I could, I would have loved to go around and check all of them in person, but realistically that’s impossible, right? So every night I searched hard through reviews until dawn, and among them I picked a few places that seemed good at reflecting opinions and matched my taste, then went for consultations!!
Other people seemed to get even more confused after consultations.... but for me, the consultation actually cleared things up clearly lol. The director and I communicated well: we decided to release the slight epicanthal fold with medial epicanthoplasty, and make the double eyelid line an in-out line that suited me lol
Sometimes when I see reviews saying people went for consultations and the clinic was unfriendly or left them unattended, it makes me so upset Everyone, if a clinic isn’t kind, don’t even finish the consultation there...!! We’re paying our own money for this, and I think this is basic courtesy!!
For the surgery, I had medial epicanthoplasty + incisional double eyelid surgery!! My skin was also thick, and I had some eyelid fat~ lol. I’m the type who swells easily at the slightest thing, so I was really worried about swelling, but after the stitches were removed, I could visibly see the swelling going down a bit faster!!
So there wasn’t much I had to take special care of, and to reduce the swelling faster, I went on walks often whenever I had time and also iced it from time to time~ You can’t place it directly on the eyes, so I wrapped it in a cotton handkerchief before applying the cold compress!!
I think the major swelling went down around one month? And by 3 months, I felt that a lot of the minor swelling had gone down! More than anything, I’m grateful to the director for diagnosing me in a way that let me have the surgery exactly as I wanted, without breaking my wish for natural-looking double eyelid surgery lol (Actually, when I went to another clinic for a consultation, they recommended additional canthoplasty too)
Anyway, since I had incisional surgery, I’m planning to keep watching until 6 months for all the swelling to go down!! Still, since I had surgery at a clinic I found myself after looking through reviews and going around for consultations, I do feel proud....!! I hope everyone also carefully researches the clinic where they’ll have surgery before getting it done!!
