I’m planning my first nose surgery, so I visited 3 clinics for my first day of consultations. My nose has a slight hump, my rhinitis is pretty severe, and my nasal bridge is not exactly low.

I didn’t have to wait long. It had a clean atmosphere and wasn’t very spacious. The director felt like someone who explains everything quickly and accurately, saying only what needs to be said? They took nose photos and checked the CT, and first said that my nasal bridge isn’t actually that low and I have a rounded forehead too, so surgery without an implant would be possible. But I told them that a friend of mine actually had surgery without an implant and later regretted not making it more glamorous, so after hearing that, they said then a thin layer would be possible because my skin is a bit thin and fair. They said it would be better to make it natural rather than flashy. The director was very kind and explained things well, so I liked that. They didn’t actually touch my nose at all?? And they said my rhinitis is allergic, so it can’t be completely cured, only temporarily improved. That honesty was nice!! The consultation was about 20 minutes? They did tell me quite a lot in that time, but it wasn’t a very detailed consultation for the amount they charged. Kind, but a little busy-feeling? Still, the good part was that they adjusted the image and showed me what my nose would look like after surgery, and the line looked pretty The coordinator felt a bit vague. It felt very procedural, and not really that kind, I guess. Just so-so. Since it was my first visit, it wasn’t bad because the director was still kind, but the same-day booking discount felt a little off. The coordinator said, “It’s your first time, right? It seems like it’s your first consultation,” and I thought it was interesting that they caught that it was my first consultation

I booked here because the director only has experience at one previous hospital, and I heard they did well there too. Also, the fact that they work with an anesthesiology doctor was clearly stated right away. The director does 2~3 surgeries a day, and on days with short procedures they said it could be 4. The coordinator I saw that day was the kindest, most genuine, and most honest of the people I met. The director seemed very confident. As soon as I went in, they drew a detailed explanation of my nose on a tablet, had me feel it directly, and checked the line with a cotton swab. Then they explained my rhinitis condition in detail from the CT. Just like clinic 1, they said it couldn’t be completely cured because it’s allergic. And they said my nose is crooked. I already knew that. They also said that here, because my nasal bridge is somewhat high and my forehead is rounded, I’m a good case. The tip is slightly bulbous, so a little more glamorous styling would be okay. But they said my skin isn’t that thin here.. 1 made it sound completely thin.. They said a slightly crooked nose can be improved by correcting it and using silicone to cover it so it looks better. They also didn’t recommend alar reduction. Since lifting the tip would already make both sides of the nose look thinner, they said it’s not a particularly necessary nose and it should be thought through carefully. I liked that the director seemed confident. And before, I wasn’t really into photo sharing, but now I think I can see it more as a sign of confidence. My mom said that. It seems like functional-nose insurance reimbursement isn’t available here. They said it’s become stricter these days. The coordinator did tell me not to worry about proxy surgery, saying the director only does a limited number of surgeries and is therefore relatively free. The aftercare here seems good. It’s very thorough, step by step. And before surgery, if you show the director the style you want, the director scans it in advance, apparently. Anyway, I liked it. But even if it’s too good, that can be a problem, so I think I need to look at more places.

It felt a bit more focused on the functional side. I heard they do a lot of implant-free surgery. The coordinators were okay. As for the director, maybe because I went at a somewhat late time, they seemed a little tired.. And their voice was very mumbling, so I couldn’t hear well But they seemed to know a lot about rhinitis. No, but they said there was a trace of a broken nasal bone in my nose. What I’m curious about is, why did this clinic tell me that, while the others didn’t? They did show me the trace, but the chair was too far away and the photo of my skull bones was so tiny that how was I supposed to see that Still, I think I was just persuaded by what they said. I did hit my nose pretty hard when I was young, but it wasn’t that severe, so I left it alone. Anyway, they did say my rhinitis could improve to some extent here too, and that allergies are unavoidable. All 3 places said the same thing They said I should absolutely go without an implant. Because my nose is crooked and long, they said adding an implant would make it look even more crooked and long. Then suddenly they started explaining my facial asymmetry, saying my cheeks, face, and jaw are asymmetrical, so even if the nose is straight it won’t help much? Instead, they said they’d make it look less crooked. I was kind of like, hmm, are they not confident? Why do they keep talking about other asymmetries? Sad It felt a bit like I was getting brutally honest feedback To be honest, I’ve never thought I was that bad in my life.. While touching my nose, they said that if an implant is inserted, this nose would look longer, and that I wanted a glamorous nose, but they kept emphasizing that it should just be completely natural.. But is it actually true that functional-nose surgery costs more than cosmetic surgery? I’m not really sure… This place felt like everything was being framed as impossible.. I had the highest expectations, but the before-and-after line was so pretty… I was a little disappointed. I also felt a bit deflated.. Still, it did feel like they were trying to go as safely as possible? And when the coordinator said that dermis might be used on the day of surgery, or might not be, and that they didn’t know and it would cost extra, that part was not great. So that’s when I crossed them out. I saw a comment somewhere saying this place doesn’t seem to have a separate anesthesiology department.

The common thing seems to be how difficult it is to improve rhinitis. The more I look into it, the more deflated I feel I wonder if the path to becoming prettier has to be this hard.. Honestly, clinic 2 is the one I’m most drawn to, but I worry whether they’re just saying things too positively. It’s been only 1 year since opening, but the previous plastic surgery clinic was apparently a pretty well-known place, and the aftercare seems good. I care a lot about aftercare too.. But 3 places are still not enough I’ll go to other places too and post another review. Please leave your opinions
