The 45-degree procedure is shaving, but only a very slight amount, and the side cheekbone is cut to induce non-fixed natural union. They said everything would be attached in about 2 months, and that there had been no nonunion so far. They showed the expected result by touching my face directly. When I asked how many mm would be reduced, they said it was hard to explain in mm. They also said that even if the bone is reduced by that many mm, it does not mean the visible appearance will shrink by the same amount. They do not do full cheekbone or square jaw surgery. They only do quick cheekbone surgery. Surgery time: 17 minutes
