Eye Surgery Reviews

The line kept loosening, so I had surgery three times... (my final stop was VN)

The first time I touched my eyes was 9 years ago. For the first surgery, I wanted a non-incisional method, but they said mine would probably loosen easily, so I had natural adhesion + front canthoplasty. But it eventually loosened, so 3 years later I had revision surgery with an incision. I had both the first and second surgeries at the same clinic (I don’t even know why I did that), and when it loosened again I wondered if it was the clinic’s fault, so I went back to the clinic where I had the surgery done. But since the aftercare period had already passed, I had to pay again. The cost was quite high since it was my third surgery, and instead of spending that much again, I thought I should just go to a proper clinic, so I had surgery with Director Kim Tae-hun at VN. A few reasons I chose VN: 1. The director’s consultation was extremely detailed. - When I said I wanted to match the right-side line, they checked the line height very carefully and also looked closely at whether matching the right-side line height to the left would keep the face balanced. - They said the unnatural shape at the inner corner of my right eye could also be corrected. - They tried to reflect what I wanted as much as possible. 2. The manager was gentle and kind. There was no pushy reservation pressure. 3. They took excellent care of the patient. They also explained well how to manage my eyes at home (I said I had my first and second surgeries at the same clinic, right? They didn’t do this there...) 4. The aftercare options were varied. 5. The director who performed the surgery personally checked my progress. 6. Follow-ups weren’t just once or twice; they kept checking as needed. The surgery was an incision revision to reset the line, plus eye-opening correction / front canthoplasty (also a revision) / fat repositioning above the eyes. At first there was some swelling, but after I managed it at home the way the clinic told me to and went in for aftercare, it got better quickly (still took about a month though). It’s been 2 and a half months since surgery, so now it’s almost 3 months, and the left and right line heights match, and the inner corner shape is the slightly pointed shape I wanted. Since revision surgery for a loosened line is easier than surgery for sausage eyes, there are people who just go to any decent clinic instead of the one that did the first surgery (I was like that too..) But if the line loosened, I hope you get surgery from a doctor who understands why it loosened and what treatment your eyes need(?) so the line stays clearly in place. This time I realized that the strength of my eye-opening muscles is different on each side, and especially the left side is weaker, which is why it loosened more easily. That’s why I had the eye-opening correction too. Now even when I open my eyes comfortably, they look clear, and my eye shape looks more refreshed than before, so I like it.
