I had it done in April 2021, so it's been almost 5 years. Both corneas were quite thick, so I had the surgery without any trouble, and since it is originally a simple procedure that ends in under 5 minutes, it was very comfortable. Recovery was only a bit uncomfortable and painful on the day itself, and after taking medicine and sleeping, I was able to go about daily life the next day. I still have some glare, and sometimes my distance vision briefly slips out of focus. I got glasses with blue-light blocking lenses and also distance correction lenses? and wearing those helps a bit. But the LASIK surgery itself improved my quality of life so, so much that I think it was the right decision.
