The pain from glasses pressing on me was so severe that I was living with hard contact lenses during the day too, and when I had about a week free, I got Smile LASIK done. Right after surgery, I got to 1.0/1.0, but it had the feeling of a 1.0 that was close to 0.9. If I closed each eye and compared them, the image in the left eye seemed a little less sharp? (That one felt closer to 0.9.) Four years have passed like that, and I still have no feeling of myopia regression. Above all, I almost never have dry eye, so I think that part was fortunate. For me, the benefits were greater than the drawbacks, but it is a surgery I would feel pressured to recommend confidently to other people...
