It has now been about 3 months since I had contour surgery. If I speak as honestly as possible at this point, I feel like my face has finally settled in a stable way. The first 1 to 2 weeks after surgery were much harder than I expected. The swelling was severe, and because the facial line felt awkward, I really did worry every time I looked in the mirror. In particular, my jawline and side profile felt unfamiliar, so I often wondered, "Did this really go well?" I think most people would probably feel similar about this part. But about a month later, the swelling slowly started to go down, and as my facial contours gradually became visible, I began to feel relieved. From that point on, because the changes were visible, I also felt much more at ease. By the second month, I definitely felt that things had changed. In photos, the jawline looked more defined, and especially the side profile improved a lot. If my face used to look somewhat wide or spread out, now it feels like it gives a slimmer and more refined impression overall. At the current 3-month mark, I would not say it is completely finished yet, but people around me already react as if it has changed enough. In fact, the most common things I hear are, "Did you lose weight?" and "Your face looks a lot more refined." What I am most satisfied with is that it is not a change that looks too obvious, but rather something that improved naturally. The parts I am especially happy with are the refined jaw length and line, and the fact that the midface looks less heavy. Overall, I think my impression has become softer while also looking more polished. Of course, there are still some things I am not fully satisfied with. In the morning, there can still be a bit of swelling, and when touched, there is still a slightly dull sensation. That said, I understand that these things will keep improving over time, so I am not too worried. In conclusion, I am personally quite satisfied, and even if I had to choose again, I think I would make the same decision. However, since getting through the early swelling and awkward stage was not as easy as I expected, I think it is worth considering that part carefully. If you can give it time and wait for recovery, I think it is ultimately a choice you can be very satisfied with.
