Nose Surgery Reviews

3 months after revision without an implant after the silicone broke: a review! It feels so much more comfortable now!

Not long after my first nose surgery, I was in a serious car accident and even fractured my nasal bone Since then, my nose had been slightly bent to one side, but I just thought, well... it's fine, and got used to it. But a few years later I hit my nose very hard again in another accident, and the CT showed that the silicone had broken... After that, I went to many places for revision consultations, and for me it was much more important how carefully they checked my nose condition than comments like, “I’ll raise it by a few mm.” Director Chu Seong-cheol at D-Day looked at the CT and explained everything one by one, including why it was bent and how the silicone had broken. He told me that since this was revision surgery, it would be better to prioritize stability rather than getting greedy and raising it too high, and that was the part I liked most. Honestly, my nose had already been through two accidents... Of course making it pretty was nice, but for me an easy, comfortable nose for the long term mattered more! The surgery was done without an implant, and they removed the existing silicone, removed the capsule, corrected the crooked nose, and shaved down the hump all at once! They reused my existing cartilage. Before surgery, I was most worried that going without an implant would make my nose too low, but now that about 3 months have passed, that worry is almost completely gone. It settled in much more naturally than I expected, and it feels like it suits my original nose, so I am satisfied! And what I am personally happiest about is that the foreign-body sensation is almost completely gone?? When I had silicone, I could somehow keep feeling its presence, but now that is almost gone, so it is much more comfortable psychologically too. The swelling has gone down a lot, so the crooked look from the front has improved a lot, and now it hardly looks like a crooked nose at first glance! Even when I smile or make expressions, it feels much more natural now!
