I’m a man in my 20s, now 3 months out from having implants, flat-nose correction, osteotomy, and autologous costal cartilage done by Dr. Goo Young-won at a plastic surgery clinic. I’m leaving this review in a community for people who like natural-looking results.
My nose tip was originally blunt and wide, a classic flat nose, and the nasal bridge bone was also fairly broad, so from the front it had no three-dimensionality at all. I did not want a nose that looked obviously operated on; I wanted it to look natural and slim, as if it had always suited my face. So during the consultation with Dr. Goo, I emphasized naturalness a lot.
The doctor understood exactly what I wanted and said the bridge should be narrowed with osteotomy, and the tip should be shaped with flat-nose correction using autologous costal cartilage so it would be strong and slim. For the bridge, we made a plan to place silicone only lightly, without overdoing it, and went straight into surgery.
Because osteotomy and autologous costal cartilage were done together, I had some swelling and bruising during weeks 1 to 2, and my rib area also felt a bit sore. At 1 month, I worried that the tip looked a little too high, but Dr. Goo told me to trust the process and wait, since it would look more natural once the remaining swelling went down.
Once a little over 2 months had passed, the tip settled down slightly and I got the natural but slim male nose I wanted. Thanks to the osteotomy, the front view effect is clearly better, and the flat nose has improved a lot, so the whole look feels much more refined. These days when I meet friends, they only ask if I lost weight and do not really realize I had surgery. I successfully changed into a handsome-looking older-brother type without it being obvious, and I’m extremely satisfied every time I look in the mirror.
For men’s noses, less is more and naturalness seems to be everything. If you have similar concerns, I recommend going to a consultation with Dr. Goo at the clinic.
