My nose was crooked, so I had my third revision surgery in 5 years. The first two times were both closed surgeries (septum) when I was in my 20s, so I thought the swelling would be almost nonexistent again this time, but maybe because I’m in my 30s now, the swelling is unreal. This time it was an incision under the nose and donor rib surgery. About 10 hours after the surgery, the swelling slowly started, and on day 2 it was legendary-level swelling to the point that I couldn’t open my eyes. Since I had to go to work on day 4, I started massaging the skin around my nose like crazy from day 2, and today, day 5, all that’s left is the yellow bruising and the swelling in my cheeks from the blood that had dropped down to my philtrum and spread to my cheeks. Even if I massage the cheek swelling, it really seems to go down super slowly. Does anyone know how to reduce cheek swelling quickly..?
