First of all, I had lower eyelid fat repositioning three years ago, and because the fat quickly hollowed out again, I had fat grafting one and a half years ago. I should not have gotten greedy, because that ended up becoming the problem: it overgrew, and the skin stretched and settled downward, so the midface and skin looked stretched, and the area under the eyes became uneven with visible steps. Only the grafted area was swollen, so my face itself looked awkward and puffy. Since I had put too much fat under my eyes, even my aegyosal disappeared. In short, it was a total mess lol
After putting up with it for a long time, I finally had foreign body removal surgery, and a dermal graft and midface lift were done at the same time (not like an operation for middle age, just to keep it from sagging further).
At first I swelled up like a monster, the bruising and swelling were terrible, so I slept sitting up until today and my eyes were uncomfortable. I work full time, so I rested on the weekend after surgery and went straight back to work, but my eyes felt uncomfortable, and when I put effort into focusing I got dizzy and motion sick lol
Still, I worked. Anyway, do not mess around with fat grafting. I removed about 80 to 90 percent, but could not remove everything. And I had it done under local anesthesia, and it made me feel mentally broken. It hurt and was mentally very hard.
I cried the whole way home after the surgery. During local anesthesia surgery, when they removed the dermis, that part was also done under local anesthesia; if it does not hurt and you only feel the sensation, that is okay, but this hurt... I shouted several times that there was no way I was actually numb and that I could not do it lol The pain itself and the sensation were mentally exhausting and also grotesque^^ Anyway, after enduring that miserable time, I am finally going to get my stitches removed.
It swelled more than I expected.. honestly, I was afraid to look in the mirror. Seriously, it was at the level of "who are you?".. lol Maybe because I also had foreign body removal, I was even more swollen.. Anyway, since I am swollen I cannot tell well yet, but so far I am satisfied.
When the tape was removed, it became much smoother and felt more settled. Of course, it is only day 6 so I do not fully know yet, but once the bruising and swelling go down, I will post an update.
