3-week review after hump nose surgery!!

<Consultation review> I chose this clinic because a close older friend said they create results that suit today’s style well. When I first went in, maybe because it wasn’t overly white, it felt less like a hospital, so I felt at ease. The information desk staff on the 8th floor were also very kind, so I had the consultation very comfortably. They asked what issues I felt I had with my nose and what improvements I wanted, and listened in detail. After that, they explained the improvements the specialist thought were needed and helped find the optimal design. After consulting with the manager and the director, I had actually only come for a consultation, but I immediately put down a deposit and set a surgery date. Unlike other clinics, they gave me confidence, so I chose them. I liked that instead of saying things like “this won’t work,” they respected my wishes as much as possible with words like “we’ll do our best,” “this would look better,” and “we’ll do it the way you want.” (The fact that the price wasn’t extremely high compared with other places also played a part.) <Surgery review> It was a nose surgery mainly focused on removing the hump. They used septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone. It took about 7 days to recover after surgery. (Sleep sitting up for one week...!) After about 3 days, there was no problem with daily life, and after about 7 days, I felt recovered enough to walk around outside. On the first day, my throat hurt a lot because of intubation, and I teared up a lot. On the first and second nights, I recommend taking Tylenol separately because it hurts. After the third day, it doesn’t hurt if you stay still. But it hurts when you sneeze or cough. Since it’s hard to open your mouth, you don’t necessarily need to diet, but I recommend foods you can eat without opening your mouth wide. (I started with porridge and moved on to rice!) As for swelling, honestly I only went for walks for two days and then stopped. Cold compresses hurt too, so I did cold compresses about twice and stopped. I didn’t take pumpkin juice or anything else said to help with swelling because I was too lazy. Even without taking anything, the swelling went down well on its own. You can wear makeup right after removing the splint, but it hurt and a lot of dead skin came off my face, so the makeup got cakey (probably because I couldn’t wash my face properly after surgery). It takes about 2 weeks for the flaking to stop, and I still can’t apply makeup by patting strongly. When washing your face, you have to wet your hands and keep wiping with your hands so water doesn’t get inside your nose. You can’t splash-wash your face.. There weren’t that many hospital visits after surgery. When you go, they remove foreign material inside the nose and disinfect the nose and behind the ear. Later they also remove the stitches, and stitch removal really hurt.. Removing the splint also... hurt... It hurt more than the surgery. (Actually the surgery didn’t hurt.) At my day-7 visit, even after removing the splint, I was worried because bruising and swelling remained from the hump removal. They told me not to worry because the swelling would go down much more, and now I have no bruising and the swelling is going down day by day. Everyone, absolutely do not worry about swelling. Even after splint removal, you may think it’s too high or the nose looks too big, but it really goes down a lot. After surgery, I gained a lot of confidence in my side profile. Looking in the mirror, I’m really, really satisfied with how I look and feel happy. I’m also happy that I don’t have to contour my nose as much as before when doing makeup, and I like that the nostril shape and nasal bridge feel more symmetrical than before (they were originally a bit asymmetrical). People around me didn’t say my old nose looked ugly because the hump was extremely obvious, but after getting it done, they really praised me and said I did well. They say my overall vibe changed. Some say I look a little more feminine (probably the side profile), and I’ve also heard that I look more handsome/striking (I think because my nose looks more defined than before!).
