I had cheekbone, square jaw, and chin contour surgery 12 years ago. I never had any functional discomfort like pain or a foreign-body sensation in daily life, but every time I went to the dentist, the pins showing up on the panoramic X-ray were so obvious that it was embarrassing, so I looked into pin removal. As I got older, I also wanted to address the slightly sagging chin muscles, so I decided to combine it with witch chin surgery. After going around to different clinics, I eventually decided to do both with Director Kwon Sunbeom at Ark. When choosing a hospital, the surgeon's skill was my top priority over flashy event pricing or convenience. During the consultation, they answered my questions before and after surgery clearly and fact-based, which built trust. It's been exactly 3 months since surgery. Pain was worst on the day of surgery for about one day, then from the next day onward it dropped to a level I could manage as long as I took medicine. At 3 months now, most of the visible swelling is gone and daily life is no problem. Once the big swelling went down, I could definitely feel that the whole chin area was a bit smaller than before surgery. Especially when talking or laughing broadly, the side line that used to bunch up and sag under the chin now sticks neatly in place and looks much more tidy. The scar on the outside incision is still a little red, but it's clearly faded compared with the beginning. I'm watching it while applying ointment.
