I had a buried suture procedure 5 years ago, and from the beginning the inner corners of my eyes were gradually loosening. Now both sides have come undone, so I am looking into revision surgery. It is not just that it came undone; the suture material clumped up in the eyelid and as it loosened, it left marks on the eyelid. It looks like the revision surgery will need to remove the clumped buried sutures by incision. The messy clustered suture scar is still left on my eyelid. If I could go back, I would absolutely not do it here.
