It has been several years since the surgery, but I only found out about this community now, so I am writing a review. When the stitches were removed, it stung sharply, but I am numb to pain so I did not mention it. Because of that, or maybe for that reason, when I went home, slept, and woke up, the swelling in my left eye had grown huge like a lump. Even when I opened my eye, I could not see because of the swelling (not exaggerating). The hospital said I must have hit it somewhere in my sleep, but I sleep on a mattress on the floor, so where could I have hit it? There was nowhere to hit. For months, all I heard was that I would have to go to the hospital in Busan Centum two or three times a week from Changwon to get injections and wait.
Uneven line (left sausage-like swelling + right hidden double eyelid) I kept being told to wait, so after waiting aimlessly for about 6 months? or 1 year, I went back to the hospital and said the asymmetry was too severe and asked for after-service. The director said: people's eyes are originally all uneven. You cannot make both eyes 100 percent identical. At that time the manager brought out my pre-op photos and said, "Your face has become so pretty now. I almost could not recognize you. Our hospital does not provide after-service. There are many hospitals near Seomyeon that offer free after-service, so why did you not go there? We do not have after-service, but we can schedule a consultation for revision surgery, though the price is a bit high." I was so dumbfounded that I said I would not do it and left the hospital.
No after-service, and the price was high too. For the first surgery, with 10 percent tax included, it was 2.31 million won. It is not that the eyeballs are uneven, it is that the eyelid line itself is simply uneven.... (left sausage-like line, right side is a hidden double eyelid where the line is almost invisible when the eyes are open)
And the reason nobody recognized me after the double-eyelid surgery was because I later had double-jaw surgery.
