I had surgery on 2021-12-30. To be honest, Ruby was not really where I wanted to go. The reason I first went there was also because the manager in charge kept trying to squeeze a small deposit out of me, so the 30,000 won deposit really mattered. At the first consultation, I met Director Ha Gi-young, and he was really kind, gentle, and calm, which I liked. He even carried celebrity photos on a tablet and showed them to me. But the reason I did not choose him was because there were almost no reviews on apps like Baritalk and Gangnam Unnie, so I switched to the chief director, and I regret it. As expected, my first impression was right. When I consulted with the chief director, it felt like the consultation lasted less than 3 minutes. He cut me off, saying I was repeating the same thing..
I was anxious, so one month before the surgery I called the clinic again and asked whether they really listened carefully to patient needs. They said I would have a 30-minute consultation with the manager and doctor on the day of surgery and would finalize the design, so I trusted them and went. On the surgery day, the manager explained the instructions and then I met the doctor. He only asked me to set the desired double eyelid height, and for the nose he asked me to show him the nose I wanted. He looked at two photos of Kim Tae-hee’s nose and that was the end of it; that was all. I had expected them to at least sit down and ask where I wanted the bridge to start, how wide I wanted it, and then do the design right there, but that was really all there was, and then I went straight into the operating room. Because I was in a hurry I said I wanted it natural and not to end up looking like an overdone influencer, and he said he would make it pretty on his own, and then went on saying things like, 'If you become a pretty Gangnam girl, then that is fine~~' and that kind of stuff.
So now, 10 days after surgery, the shape of my nose after the swelling goes down feels very vague, and when I look in the mirror now, it looks like a chalk nose, so I am under a lot of stress. This Friday I am going to go with my family to complain.
