I had a consultation because of protruding mouth and a receding chin. First of all, compared with other plastic surgery clinics, the director ([Doctor A]) seemed to know a lot about bones too, and I felt he would be good not just for cosmetic purposes but also for TMJ-related issues, so this was the only plastic surgery clinic where I made a consultation appointment. (For everything else, I booked at university hospitals.)
Since the surgery itself is a major operation, the consultation time was somewhat long too. They took photos and did the consultation, and I remember it cost about 30,000 won.
I was seen in the order: consultation manager - director - manager, and the more I listened, the more I thought this is a really major surgery, so I shouldn't have it done at a place like this.
At university hospitals, the surgery takes about 10 hours, but the director said it would take about 3 hours? That's the part that made me wonder... They said it's a partner hospital with Yonsei [Clinic A], but if something major happens during surgery, do they just send you to [Clinic A]? haha Anyway...
If you don't have TMJ problems and your main goal is cosmetic improvement, this place seems fine. But if you do have TMJ issues, it's not just about this place... I strongly recommend getting examined at a university hospital.
The doctor was kind and answered everything well. In the end, thanks to the consultation, I was able to start TMJ treatment.
