I’m prepared to spend the time and effort visiting hospitals in person, but I’m exhausted by too much advertising, and comment advertising doesn’t feel trustworthy. Even when I visit hospitals myself, I still don’t feel much trust, so I’m worried.
I think I had to wait about 6 months just to get a consultation appointment. Honestly, hearing that I’d have to wait 6 months just to book a consultation left me feeling pretty bad.
It’s not even about booking the surgery date yet, just the consultation reservation. Is this some kind of sales tactic? A new marketing method that tries to get you to book surgery right after the consultation you waited so long for...?
The consultation reservation itself is the start of my first impression of the hospital. Anyway, I made the reservation, waited, and went to the hospital.
I barely remember the consultation with the manager, and the doctor’s consultation seemed to take less than 5 minutes.
They looked at my eyes roughly and said it was sausage-like, that I had ectropion, that my skin was thin, and that I didn’t have enough extra skin, so they’d have to create more. They told me to do eyelid massage and come back in 6 months, saying it was difficult right now.
I went out, and the manager told me the cost would probably be around five million won, and I left with a single leaflet about stretching the eyelid skin.
