I had nose surgery 10 years ago when it was still called Choi Deok-ho Plastic Surgery. They did osteotomy, then used silicone and septal cartilage for the nose tip. The result was moderately satisfying and looked natural. Three years ago, I went to the hospital because the cartilage was showing, and the doctor at the time said it should be removed right away. At another hospital I visited out of suspicion, they said it was not an urgent issue and, looking at the X-ray, said it was not septal cartilage. Only after I went to another hospital where the manager from my consultation 10 years ago now worked did I hear that they must have used donated cartilage, meaning costal cartilage, back then. I was completely stunned. I am now looking into removal surgery, and while my original hospital would be better in terms of cost, I have completely lost trust and have no intention of going back, so I am visiting other hospitals and comparing options.
