My nasal bridge was already somewhat high to begin with, and I didn’t really want a high nose anyway, so I had clearly said during the consultation not to touch the bridge. What I wanted was nostril reduction, reduction of the lateral nasal bones, and for the tip and columella to be done with ear cartilage because the tip was a bit wide and boxy. We had agreed on all of that for 4.5 million won and I had already paid in full, but after the surgery they said they had also inserted 4 mm of synthetic tissue into the bridge, so I should pay an additional 800,000 won or so. I hadn’t wanted a higher bridge in the first place, but the surgeon seemed to think the tip had turned out higher than expected and decided the bridge needed to be raised too, and while I was under anesthesia they went ahead and did that. I argued that I had said I didn’t want the bridge raised, but since the surgery was already finished, there was nothing that could be done, so I just paid and left it at that. But after the splint came off and the swelling went down a bit, I saw that my nasal tip was positioned too high and looked a bit upturned, and the tip symmetry was really off, so I asked whether I needed revision surgery. The surgeon said, "If you bring the money, we can do the surgery as much as you want." I mean, anyone could see the symmetry was wrong, and if they were going to do a revision, they should just do it. But saying, "Bring money for the revision and we can do it as much as you want"...
Then they said the nasal tip would come down a bit over time, and that if the original shape was slightly distorted, it could be fixed by massaging it after surgery, so for now rather than revision surgery, I should try hard to massage it toward the opposite side and shape it that way. After hearing that, I thought to myself, 'How would that work when the surgery is already over?,' but it had only been about a month since the surgery, so I figured I’d wait a few more months and tried hard to shape it at home for several months.... but as expected, as expected... the tip position did not come down any further, and the distorted shape did not straighten out either; not at all, it just stayed the same lol It is most noticeable when I look at my face from below, and since the tip symmetry is off, the left and right nose shapes also look different when I turn my head about 45 degrees to the side, but from the front the problem is a little less visible because of the original shape of my nose.. and it’s not like someone usually looks at my nose closely from below either, so unless I say something first, other people do not notice it to a major degree, so I just let it go at that level (also because I have many other surgeries I want to get, so I am trying to save money)
