I had filler treatment from Chief Director Kim Seong-hwan before, and I was satisfied overall because the result looked natural, so I revisited because I wanted the same director to treat me again. However, during the consultation, I was told that receiving consultation and treatment from the chief director now requires an additional 20% on top of the previous cost. I had planned to undergo treatment again because I was satisfied with the previous result, but the extra 20% felt burdensome, so I ultimately returned without having the procedure.
Of course, I understand that fees may vary depending on a doctor’s career and treatment satisfaction. However, when fillers are administered to several areas together, a 20% difference feels larger than expected. At that price, I even thought it might be better to make time to go to Seoul and receive not only fillers but also other dermatological and cosmetic treatments.
I hope more plastic-surgery hospitals and medical professionals specializing in excellent filler treatment become available in Gwangju, broadening our choices. If more skilled hospitals emerge and competition becomes active, consumers could compare prices, doctors, and treatment methods and make more reasonable choices. Although I was satisfied with the previous treatment itself, this is a revisitation review in which I regretfully gave up the procedure this time because of the additional 20% fee for designating the chief director.
