I had a surgery about 10 years ago.. Back then, other places recommended an incision, but Kyoto consulted with me about a non-incision approach. They also said I should do eye-opening correction together, but I did not need both eyes done, and correcting only one eye would be enough. The price was very high, but I had the surgery at Kyoto. (At the time it was a hospital known for being expensive, but also famous for doing well) The result was satisfying. While other friends had severe double-eyelid scars and swelling that would not go down, mine looked natural, and I still get told my eyes are pretty.
But maybe because I only had eye-opening correction on one side, the untreated eye opens less well relatively, and less tension goes into the double eyelid. So I went back to have only one side corrected again. I am not sure if my memory is completely correct, but I think they said the price would be the same even if only one eye was done, so I paid 120 for eye-opening correction on just one side. It was expensive, but I was very satisfied because the part that had been bothering me was gone. Even now, people around me seem to think it is a pricey clinic that makes things look really natural and pretty, just like my own eyes.
Also, 10 years ago eye-opening correction was done only with an incision, but I had it done at Kyoto because they said non-incision eye-opening correction was possible.
