I was asked to write a review about my surgery, and I said I would, so here it is.
The consultation with the director and the consultation with the coordinator were different, and there was no explanation given first.
The next day I was advised to have surgery that same day, but I said I probably couldn't because of my schedule. They said they would explain all aftercare, but they didn't explain anything.
I didn't come as a confirmed surgery case, I just came to the clinic to discuss things, but they prepared me for surgery without any discussion, drew on my body, and took payment lol. Until right before surgery, no one explained the consent form, post-op care, or possible side effects to me.
The nurse's response after surgery wasn't especially kind either. If it's only my impression, then maybe I'm the one who's odd, but the patient next to me also came out screaming and crying.
For some reason, the bed got soaked with blood, and blood was running down from the surgical area, so I called the nurse and asked them to apply pressure and wrap a bandage, but they wouldn't do it. The dizziness wasn't getting better, so I was scared.
They said the bleeding happened because the sutures came undone and they needed to resuture it, and since all the staff had already left work, I got sutured by a director I was meeting for the first time.
When I was discharged, I told the doctor in charge and the coordinator that I was really disappointed, and after not hearing anything, I only then got one care photo on KakaoTalk lol.
The next day, when I went in for disinfection and asked why neither the consent form nor the care instructions had been explained, and whether that wasn't a violation of the legal duty to explain, they blamed me. They said I should have expressed myself first lol. They also said the director hadn't even realized there was a problem and had been puzzled by it.
On the day the stitches were to be removed, I again confirmed that I would be connected with the doctor in charge about the issue, but suddenly they said the doctor was off that day and told me to come another day. When I argued about why, they said it wasn't that they were being difficult, but that the leave day wasn't written on the care schedule. I said it didn't make sense that the coordinator didn't know the doctor's schedule, and they replied that they had already told me it wasn't written on the care schedule. In the end, they just blamed the patient for everything.
When I asked why I had to understand everything, I got no reply on KakaoTalk.
Then out of nowhere, someone claiming to be the CS team messaged me on KakaoTalk. They said to contact them from then on. When I asked how I was supposed to know it was really the CS team when there was no official photo, they said it was their work phone~ When I asked why I should contact them there, they said the coordinator had difficulty communicating, so they were stepping in to coordinate. When I asked whether they were in the clinic, they said they were outside. When I pointed out that even someone in the clinic was missing responses, how were they supposed to manage things from outside, they ignored the message on KakaoTalk.
