I went in for a consultation because of the fat under my chin and face. I'm a little unsure whether the doctor was being kind. He repeated the same things a lot and seemed to let my opinions go in one ear and out the other, but I don't think he meant any harm; he did seem like a nice person. He recommended InMode, Botox, and filler, and it even made me wonder whether my face has that many flaws. Setting aside whether he was actually listening to my concerns, he was so enthusiastic about recommending all sorts of things that I ended up feeling cautious about getting any treatment there.
I also got the impression that the doctor's aesthetic standards were something like the ideal beauty look from about 10 years ago. He said a face with a slim overall jaw and fuller front cheeks would look pretty. Ignoring the fact that this doesn't really fit current trends, I wasn't especially unhappy with my face shape and only wanted to refine the lines a little, but the doctor seemed to want more than I did.
They seem to push InMode as their main treatment, but the price is high even compared with Seoul. Maybe because I had only been to clinics in the Gangnam area before, but I felt like the managers did not have much experience. I didn't think that was necessarily bad. Managers in Gangnam tend to be very slick talkers, and some can really charm people, but I had room to decide for myself, so I actually felt more comfortable with it seeming like a neighborhood clinic consultation.
If you know what you personally need and only ask for that treatment, it might be okay. For people who are like, 'I'm just going to go all in on InMode.'
