I originally kept using eyelid tape and had a slight natural double eyelid, but the line was weak and uneven, so I decided to have buried double eyelid surgery instead. They made the line a little higher than my existing one, and they also looked at what line would suit me. I liked that we checked it many times in the mirror before deciding. It has been 3 weeks now, the line is neatly set, and it is definitely more natural than when I was using eyelid tape. I also had eye correction at the same time, so my eyes feel a bit more open. There is still a tiny bit of swelling left, but it is at a level that is almost not noticeable. If I think about how I used to put on eyelid tape every day, I feel like I should have done this much sooner. The line stays the same when I look in the mirror in the morning, and that is the most convenient part. The width of the double eyelid is also natural, so it does not look exaggerated, which makes me satisfied.
