I wrote a review before after getting my mom's upper and lower blepharoplasty and fat grafting, and more people than I expected asked me for information! A lot of people also asked how things were going now, so I thought I'd write another post lol
It has been a little over 4 months since the surgery, so I guess you could think of it as the 5-month mark. To put the current state simply, as time passed it definitely became more natural and feels like it has almost settled in.
As I said in the post I wrote before, there was quite a bit of swelling and bruising at first, so there were moments when I wondered if I had really made the right choice. Especially because the eyes and fat grafting were done together, everything looked swollen overall before it settled, so I think I worried about it even more. But once the swelling started going down, I could see it gradually settling in. From that point I thought, okay, this is going well. By the 3-month mark, I thought it had become much more natural overall. But now it feels even more natural than it did then.
Not long ago we had a family event and went together, and all the older relatives we met there were shocked when they saw my mom lol When the elders said first that the surgery went well, my mom seemed oddly happy too. While organizing the photos, I found one where she was wearing the same clothes, so I’m posting it too! Comparing them like this, I could see why the relatives were surprised haha
Looking back over time, I think you really do not need to get too anxious during the early recovery period after surgery. Of course, I know that because of her age recovery may not be fast, but people cannot help worrying, right? I was also worried at first that her age would make recovery take a long time, but looking at her now, I think that worry was unnecessary. Once it settled in naturally, she looked like she had aged gracefully? Or maybe like she had not gone through a hard time at all haha I really like how she changed like that! I worried a lot in the middle, but now I honestly think I’m glad I went ahead and did it for her. If you have questions, leave a comment lol
