A Huge Success Story: Coming to Seoul for Two Facial-Contouring Procedures

I had a huge complex about how I looked from the front. My cheekbones and square jaw protruded so much that I could not wear hats or put my hair up or tie it. My side profile was at least somewhat okay, so I think I just went around hiding it with my hair.

I decided I could not live with this complex forever, so I made up my mind and came to Seoul for facial contouring. I looked up a great many reviews of contouring clinics, and chose [Clinic A] because it felt aligned with my aesthetic preferences. I was nervous at my first visit, but the consultation atmosphere was not bad. The doctor’s consultation style was very concise and clear; they clearly told me what was and was not possible. They explained only the surgical methods needed to improve things toward the look I wanted while fitting my facial-feature balance, and that gave me trust. They looked at the harmony of my features and the look I wanted, then identified only the necessary procedures without going overboard, so I trusted them.

After the doctor’s consultation, the coordinator went over it again and explained it carefully, so I could understand everything overall. I was really nervous when entering the operating room, but the medical staff kept talking to me and made me comfortable, so I relaxed somewhat and think the surgery went well. Since it was performed under general anesthesia, I kept almost falling asleep afterward, but the nurses woke me frequently because they said I should not fall asleep, lol. They also checked my condition carefully. Above all, the nurses kept coming by to check on me and took very good care of me until discharge, which was reassuring.

Because I live outside Seoul, I took the KTX home right after discharge. The swelling was worst only on days 2–3, and the pain was less than expected. I followed the clinic’s instructions, mainly ate liquids, and managed my recovery. Rather than pain, it was an overall uncomfortable feeling. I did nothing extra: I only followed the clinic’s directions and walked very diligently. It was fascinating to feel the major swelling gradually subside and see my side and front contours change. At around one month, most of the major swelling was gone, leaving only minor swelling. The inside of my cheeks still felt a little puffy, as if I had candy in my mouth, but it did not interfere with daily life at all.

I think I especially saw a major effect from the front. After one month, the minor swelling gradually decreased and my facial contour became very soft. People asked whether I had lost weight and said my face looked much smaller, so I could feel the surgical effect even more. I used to worry about my jawline whenever I took pictures, but now both my front view and profile have naturally softer facial contours, and I am satisfied. It has been about three months now, and I have recovered to the point where I hardly think about having had surgery in daily life. Even at three months, I am truly satisfied with the result, and I am looking forward to how much more natural my facial contour will become as the remaining swelling goes down lol.
