Nose Surgery Reviews

I booked my first nose surgery with a deposit

I had my nose consultation today and even left a deposit. I got along well with the surgeon and the manager during the consultation, so I had a good feeling and ended up booking right away. I thought I’d write about it.

I visited a total of 3 clinics, and usually when you go to 3 or 4 places, what they say is almost all similar, right? (surgical methods, materials, etc.) But except for alar reduction, all three clinics said different things.

1. ㅇㅍ(ㅜㅓㄴ ㅣㄱ) - Dr. ㅇㅈㅇ This was the first place I went. Because I have a bulbous nose, they said they would do an open approach, use the septum and silicone, and also use donated rib cartilage. On top of that, alar reduction, osteotomy, and the nasolabial angle too. Since it was my first consultation, I wondered if my nose really needed such a major operation. The total cost was 5.39 million won, but they said it would be discounted to 3.23 million won if I wrote a partially disclosed review. The reason I didn’t choose this clinic was that during the consultation they asked if I had a reference photo for the nose I wanted, and I showed them O Yeon-seo’s nose. But trying to make my nose like O Yeon-seo’s felt a bit too aggressive in terms of treatment. After that, I started bringing in reference photos of ordinary people’s noses when I went to consultations. And since this was my first surgery, I was a bit uneasy about using rib cartilage. Anyway, for those reasons I passed on this place.

2. ㅇㅇㅇ( ㅜㅓㄴ ㅣㄹ) First of all, they really took a long time with the consultation, over 30 minutes.. The manager also said the surgeon had spent a really long time with me. As everyone knows, this doctor strongly prefers a very natural and safety-focused approach, so they recommended using silicone, the septum, and ear cartilage, and said we should also do alar reduction together. It was a very candid consultation, and they clearly pointed out the things I’d still have to accept even after nose surgery, as well as the things that would improve. It was just like the detailed reviews I had seen online. I was really satisfied, and from this point on I started thinking that natural was more important than flashy, and that a look harmonious with the face would be better. But the reason I didn’t choose this clinic was simply cost They said the first surgery would be 5.4 million. It felt a bit burdensome, so I kept thinking and went around for more consultations at other clinics.

3. 431 - Dr. ㅎㅎㅈ And this is the place I consulted today and left a deposit at! They did a 3D CT scan and a few other things here, and said my current nose line was pretty, so we should preserve that line. So they recommended silicone (2 - 2.5 mm) + ear cartilage + alar reduction. At first I was surprised they said they wouldn’t use the septum. I thought septum cartilage was always used in nose surgery. When I asked, they confidently said that you can make the tip sufficiently well with ear cartilage alone, without using the septum. While researching on my own, I always remembered a surgeon on YouTube saying that touching the septum is really dangerous every time I went to consultations. I was starting to resign myself to the idea that the septum was probably a material that had to be used no matter what, when suddenly they said it could be done with ear cartilage alone, and I got excited and booked it right away haha.. Of course, I also chose it because the surgeon and manager consulted me well and I had a good feeling, and this place came out to 4.3 million.

After I got home, I suddenly looked up the clinic’s website and it said that for first rhinoplasty, the chief surgeon personally consults and performs the operation. But the surgeon who consulted me seemed very young, and when I got home and tried to find reviews of that doctor, they didn’t appear at all on the plastic surgery app and there were no reviews on this community either. Maybe they only recently joined? And when they priced it, they said the discount was only available with Dr.. That made me wonder if it’s okay. And I was happy that they said the septum wasn’t necessary, but then I suddenly wondered whether there might be a skill issue.

I’m sure everyone feels this way, but I also want to finish the surgery on the first try, and my biggest worry is infection. They said I could keep discussing it until the 20th, and if it didn’t seem right, they’d give a full refund. Do the surgical method and doctor at this clinic seem okay? Please tell me what you think.
