At another hospital, they said they’d call if a slot opened up even if the reservation queue was packed, but here they made me wait a full 8 months (consultation at the end of December after a reservation in early April). When I finally had the consultation, compared with the 8 months I waited, they didn’t really look at things in detail; they gave a brief explanation and then closed the chart cover, so as a patient I felt like they wanted to finish quickly. They said the earliest surgery was in early March. Even when I booked the consultation here, because of this hospital’s reputation, I was told the consultation alone would take 8 months, so I asked whether I could just pay the surgery fee first without even consulting with the doctor, since I wanted to secure the surgery date first, but they firmly said no. After the consultation, I was actually glad it didn’t work out then. The consultation wasn’t detailed, and I don’t think they’d properly handle aftercare either, so after waiting so long I gave up on surgery. It doesn’t seem like they have much experience with surgery for a nose that had contracture.
