I went for a consultation. Overall everyone was kind, and the doctor explained things well. He recommended the method I had been thinking of, and he told me realistically how far my expectations could be met. Since it's a revision-surgery specialty, even though this was my first surgery, it felt like they were planning the operation in very detailed fashion.
