Summary: The director was kind, but I was dissatisfied with the surgical results, so I had revision surgery later. I had my first double-eyelid surgery with an incision, but a long scar was left behind, and as time passed the line seemed to get buried, so I had revision surgery at Ruho. Since it was a revision case, I searched thoroughly online and read many reviews, then had the surgery with Director Park Il. He kindly explained that scars can’t be completely removed, but he would excise them as much as possible, solve the parts I was worried about, and make the line not too thin, so I paid the deposit right away and had surgery. The surgical results were: 1. The asymmetry of my original crease was not improved, and after the first surgery the inner corner of one eye had been puffy, covering the lash roots, but that was not improved either... 2. I knew the long scar at the outer corner would be hard to excise, but a new sunken scar appeared in the middle of the crease, and one eye has a depressed scar so visible that even when I close my eyes, the double-eyelid line stands out. 3. The line under the double eyelid stays puffy almost until I close my eyes and looks like a sausage... + when lit from above, there are uneven steps in the eye area, so it looks obvious to anyone that I had double-eyelid surgery. I wondered if it would get better with time, so I saw the director again after 1 year, but he only said the surgery went well, and gave me a business card for another clinic and said to get laser treatment if the scar bothered me. The laser also had little effect, and I spent over 5 million won on scar treatment for 3 years, but it did not improve meaningfully... so recently I had another double-eyelid revision surgery at a different hospital. From the reviews, it seems people with thin eyelids and first-time surgery cases come out beautifully, but looking at the surgery evaluations mentioning scars / sausage-like swelling / uneven steps, I guess I was not the only one...ㅠ For people like me whose eyes are close to the eyebrows and who have sunken eyes, or for those who need revision surgery and also have to consider scars, I think you should look for a clinic specialized in multiple revisions or extreme eye cases... I’m not sure whether the director’s reputation matches the level of surgical completion...ㅠ
