I've had Fraxel twice. After anesthesia, you wait about 30 minutes and then go get the laser treatment. Fraxel is really a stinging laser, so even with anesthesia it still stings. And after it's done, it leaves a long mark around the butterfly zone, but it disappears after about 3 to 5 days. I'm still not sure about the effect, but I think my pores may have gotten a little smaller.
