Usually they use a cannula, so since there was no special mention here, I went assuming it would be a cannula. I only found out it was a needle after lying down in the procedure room lol. There may be some advantages, but I personally prefer a cannula, so I was anxious. But the moment the syringe was in front of my face, I just went ahead and got it lol. There may be people who prefer needles, so keep that in mind.
