I had my first surgery with Director Lee Jin-hwa a few months ago, and the result was just so-so. I’m neither very satisfied nor very dissatisfied with it. What I do regret is that, because the hospital was so crowded and busy, it didn’t feel like they carefully analyzed my face and tailored the surgery to it; it felt more like they just did a standard, fairly generic design. It was my first surgery, and I had no real knowledge about plastic surgery at the time, but looking back, I think the system lacked thoroughness. Another thing I regret is that the design with a pen before surgery wasn’t done while sitting up; instead, the doctor examined me alone while I was lying down in the operating room and proceeded from there. I think designing while sitting up is much more accurate aesthetically. The director’s comments and consultation also felt too rushed, so it didn’t feel like we were calmly communicating and building the design together. On the day of surgery, I think the line design took only about 2 to 3 minutes. In any case, the result was definitely not a failure, but it also didn’t become dramatically prettier either; it just made me one more person with double eyelids. So I thought it was just average. The doctor is kind, but it’s a hospital that is truly busy and crowded, so it would be hard to expect delicacy and thoroughness.
