I was planning to do my nose surgery only at a private clinic, and I already had a date set at another hospital, but the nose surgery ads kept showing up on Instagram, so I applied. The hospital was so big that I kept taking the elevator back and forth between the lobby, the 14th floor?, and the 12th floor? while waiting. There were also a lot of foreigners. After the manager's consultation, I was matched with a director who seemed like a good fit for me, but my first impression was not great because the director seemed a bit rough and rushed...? As soon as they came in, they told me to sit down and then spun the chair around, analyzed my nose from different angles, drew on a pad, and started explaining. They didn't really pressure me to get other procedures. I'd gone to several nose surgery consultations, but only two places pointed out the hollow under the nasolabial area; one recommended paranasal augmentation/filler, while here they recommended fat grafting. I asked, 'It's okay to get filler and then have surgery on that nasolabial area later, right?' but communication didn't go well, and they thought I meant getting filler and then nose surgery, so I got scolded, which felt like being scolded by a neighborhood uncle.. lol. Still, aside from the first impression, the consultation was good. The price was reasonable and I thought the director's surgical style would suit me, so I considered it, but I've always been recommended autologous costal cartilage, and I came in determined to use autologous costal cartilage. However, the manager said the scar from autologous costal cartilage is bigger than expected, it's easy to see, and there is no difference between donor rib cartilage and autologous rib cartilage, and for a young woman they recommend donor rib cartilage. I felt that point didn't fit me, and because it was such a huge hospital I hesitated and decided on the hospital I had originally planned to go to.
