This is a review after going for a consultation because I’m considering breast surgery. I had only looked up information online, but after actually getting a consultation, the feeling was definitely different. The doctor himself gave the consultation, which gave me a sense of trust, and instead of just explaining the implant, he explained combinations based on my body type, so it was easy to understand. For the line and cup size differences I was worried about, as well as my concerns about the feel, he gave grounded explanations like “under these conditions, this kind of change could happen,” so the consultation itself felt like a conversation rather than one-sided advice. He explained the selection criteria while reflecting my skin thickness, ribcage width, and condition. I especially liked that he told me about the actual feel when touching it, the recovery speed, and even the type of compression garment I would need to wear after surgery. He answered each of my questions in detail without being bothered by them, so I came away feeling like I’d had a good consultation. He was also honest about the surgery process and anesthesia, which made me feel even more at ease. However, perhaps because the hospital is a one-doctor setup, the lobby was crowded with patients and there was a bit of waiting. Once you go into the consultation room, they make sure to reserve enough time to respond, so overall it was a satisfying consultation.
