I think people may have different opinions, but I'm the type who just cares whether the surgery goes well, so I was in favor of it. In the very early stage, the swelling went down unevenly on both sides, so I worried, but once the big swelling went down, it was resolved. I think you just have to get through the rough patch while the big swelling is still strong...! I have a follow-up appointment scheduled, but since I don't really have any discomfort, I'm debating whether to go or not.
