Dr. Kim Gui-rak... Even if people may not know his face, I think those who have spent time researching nose surgery have probably seen that name at least once. When I was looking into contouring and going around for consultations, people kept mentioning that famous brown plastic surgery clinic and saying he was so well-known as a nose master, so I thought that whenever I went for a nose consultation someday, I absolutely had to meet Dr. Gui-rak... Since the clinic he opened specializes only in noses, I went in thinking it was a good fit, but the consultation fell completely short of my expectations... Even from the way he spoke, it already didn’t sound like the tone of someone treating a patient. That subtly irritating casual speech alone made me uncomfortable, and the way he insisted that the material to use in the nose had to be the one that was already decided, just the one that was easiest for him to operate on, was also frustrating... I didn’t feel cared for at all. Without any concrete consultation, it was basically like, I’ll just make it pretty on your face by myself, so trust me and leave it to me. The most uncomfortable part was that he said I looked like a patient with depression and that it was scary.. I had come from the morning, holding back sleepiness, just to have maybe a 15-minute consultation with the director, and as soon as the first words of the conversation didn’t click, I just gave short answers to his rambling. I guess that made me look mentally ill. He talked as if he knew everything, saying that someone like me, with a weak tone and a depressed-looking face, would probably get depressed after surgery and stay home for a year if they were operated on carelessly, and then asked if I happened to have any mental illness. He also said that if he had me undergo surgery and then I started saying I was scary... I was really upset, but I didn’t even want to deal with him face to face, so I just laughed it off.. I wasn’t planning to get surgery at all anyway, so I guess that worked out. From the reviews, it seems his skill is decent, but no matter what, if his personality is like that, it would be hard to trust him and leave myself in his hands.. Being older doesn’t mean you can talk down to younger people however you want. You seem like someone who doesn’t have basic manners.
