When I consulted with the doctor, I could intuitively see which areas had excessive fat accumulation using an ultrasound medical device. He realistically explained which areas of facial liposuction would suit me, roughly how much could be removed, and that it would take some time for a natural line to appear after suction. The surgery was under sedation anesthesia, and they woke me up briefly while keeping an eye on my face so they wouldn't suction too much fat. About 21 cc was removed, and since my face never had a huge amount of fat to begin with, the effect wasn't dramatic, but I'm satisfied that they removed as much as possible without side effects like hollow cheeks or asymmetry.
