This is the most famous hospital for under-eye fat repositioning, and the director was the only one who had published a paper at the time, so I just had the consultation here without going anywhere else. The director was a little irritable, or to put it badly, lacked basic manners. Maybe because they were already famous and had no commercial greed, haha. The chief manager was extremely friendly and even told me that even if I went to another hospital, I should definitely get repositioning instead of just fat removal. After surgery I went for follow-up and swelling management, and I heard what sounded like a heated argument between a dissatisfied patient and the director. The director kept telling the patient to look at the pre-op photos and saying it was a huge improvement, while sighing heavily. Lately my right under-eye area looks a little puffier than the left, and I keep wondering if they’ll say the same thing when I go back for a follow-up. My double-eyelid surgery was incisional, but the scar was okay. Still, I hated having asymmetrical eyes so much that I eventually had another buried-suture procedure ^-^ At the time they additionally recommended epicanthoplasty, and said a bit of fat under the eyes might be good, but since I was young they suggested thinking about that later. Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t do the epicanthoplasty, but I wish I had added the fat.
