I made a reservation on impulse, then requested a cancellation 2 hours later, but I did not get my deposit back. The doctor’s consultation itself was good because there was no pressure and it was very detailed, but I lost trust because of the hospital manager’s and the coordinator’s lies about the doctor’s career, so I did not go ahead with surgery. The clinic subtly promoted the doctor as if he were a highly experienced surgeon, and the coordinator said that all of his own family and relatives had also been treated by this doctor. (The promotion itself may not have been a lie, but it is hard to trust the claim that all of his family and relatives were treated here and had good results when the doctor had been at the hospital for less than a year lol) I booked the appointment almost under a spell, but when I searched one last time to confirm, I found out he was only in his first year as a board-certified specialist. (I learned this from the thumbnail of a deleted post, and confirmed it on Babitalk.) The consultation was good, so if they had been honest, I might have had surgery with this doctor instead, but I had no trust because of the lies the coordinator told and the clinic’s way of promoting things. The schedule also happened not to fit, so instead of arguing, I wanted to cancel by using the schedule as an excuse. I asked to cancel 2 hours after making the reservation, but I was told that cancellation, changes, and deposit refunds were all impossible. For reference, before making the reservation, I had never received any written explanation about the deposit refund policy... Only after I made the reservation did they send it along with the pre-surgery precautions. Because this is a place that manages reservations and promotion in this way, I started thinking that post-op care after surgery might also be bad, so I’m trying to be glad I didn’t go through with the surgery ㅠㅠ...
