The hook shape at the inner corners of my eyes was so severe that it made me look tired, and aesthetically it wasn't great either. On top of that, both the hook shape and the size of my tear ducts were asymmetrical, so it bothered me. I went around consulting clinics specializing in revision to see if revision could fix it. I didn't want my eyes to get smaller, so I went to places that specialize in subtle revision, and here, after listening to what I said, they told me that a hook canthoplasty would be better than revision. They said it could improve the hook shape while adjusting the asymmetry in the tear-duct size. They did say the tear duct might show more than it does now, but that was much better than having smaller eyes, and I felt reassured because they were honest and told me the downside too. After the surgery, I actually felt like the asymmetry got worse, and I was anxious that the surgery had gone wrong, but the manager kept explaining in detail why it had turned out that way and how to care for it, so I felt they were paying attention to me. Now all the things that bothered me have been improved, and the hook shape is gone so my eyes look more open, which makes me so happy.
