I was looking into double eyelid surgery and, by chance, a YouTuber appeared in my algorithm with eyes that had turned out so beautifully, so I went hospital-hunting by trying to guess the place just from the surgery gown. I made a reservation under the same director as the YouTuber, Director Kim Hong-jin. I visited at the end of January, before Lunar New Year this year, expecting an awful wait, but surprisingly got in after only 10 minutes...... Reviews said waiting 1 or 2 hours was standard, and the hospital also said I should expect a very long wait (initially I had reserved without a specific doctor because I was torn between Director Do Eon-rok and Director Kim Hong-jin, but I later found out who the YouTuber’s doctor was; I thought Director Do Eon-rok’s consultation style would be impossible for my personality to handle, so I switched to Director Kim Hong-jin, and I was told that because of the reservation change the wait would be over 3 hours and asked if that was okay). So although there was a long gap until my next hospital consultation, I was stomping my feet worried I’d be late, but everything moved so quickly that I actually had an hour to spare...... I was very satisfied. From other reviews, it seems I got in unusually fast. I asked everything on my list of questions, and they responded kindly. The line they drew also suited me well and looked pretty, so I was satisfied, but they recommended upper canthoplasty even though other hospitals had not, so I hesitated. While I was thinking about it, I asked the manager whether natural adhesion alone was possible without upper canthoplasty, and got an OK. Honestly, it didn’t seem like an unnecessary recommendation, but I was a little taken aback because I hadn’t heard it elsewhere. Still, I thought they weren’t the type to pile on useless extras and make it too forceful. They don’t pressure you hard into booking, but they do give a gentle recommendation. I was told that it was unclear when the event price would end, and that Director Kim Hong-jin’s prices were scheduled to go up after February, but when I checked a cosmetic surgery info app, the event still seemed to be ongoing. They used a toothpick to draw the line, which felt a bit unhygienic, and in fact my eyelids became very itchy right after they drew it ㅠㅠ So I didn’t make an appointment right away because I wondered if that was really hygienic, but I liked the surgical method, the line shape, the consultation attitude, and the content, so among the 15 places I visited, I’m considering this as my second choice. If I’m going to do it in Seoul and don’t plan any more consultations, I think I might do it here......
